Ex-Freshfields CEO Joins Centre

Hugh Crisp, who retired as CEO and Managing Partner of Freshfields, Bruckhaus Deringer in 2008, has joined the Centre as an Associate. Since leaving Freshfields he has played a prominent role promoting executive education at the Saïd Business School, serving as Chair of OSBS Ltd and of the School’s International Advisory Board for Executive Education, and has been particularly active in helping developing the School’s executive education for the PSF and legal sectors.


New Research Fellow Appointed


Roya Ghafele has joined the Centre as a Research Fellow to work on innovation in knowledge management and intellectual property in PSFs and their economic impact. From 2008 to 2011 she was a Lecturer in International Political Economy at Oxford University’s Department of International Development and in addition runs a ‘boutique consulting firm’, Oxfirst Ltd. Among Oxfirst’s recent or forthcoming publications are Counting the Costs of Collective Rights Management of Music Copyright in Europe and The Economic Value Proposition of an Online IP Platform. New Doctoral Scholar

The Centre’s newly apppointed doctoral scholar Michael Gill is embarking on research into the role of identity and organisational professional identification and their relationship with stress and anxiety.
