New Grant to Study University Management

Centre Associate Markus Reihlen of Leuphana University and Jetta Frost of the University of Hamburg have won a 520,000 euro research grant from the German Ministry of Education and Research to study the management of universities. The study will investigate the strategic, organisational and behavioral dimensions of universities taking them as a particular case of professional organisations.

Professor Reihlen is also editing, with Andreas Werr, The Handbook of Research on Entrepreneurship in Professional Services to be published in 2012 by Edward Elgar. Its appearance will be especially timely in that the topic of entrepreneurship in professional service firms forms the theme of the next Novak Druce Annual PSF Conference which will be held at Lüneburg jointly with Leuphana University.
