David Currie started his private equity career in 1979 with 3i, where he worked for 9 years. He was responsible for the private equity investment portfolio of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority for 7 years prior to joining Standard Life in 1998. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from Heriot Watt University and an MBA from the Strathclyde Business School.
