Tim Hannigan is a DPhil student at the Oxford Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Saïd Business School.He is supervised Victor Seidel, and is a member of Green Templeton College.
Tim holds an MSc (Distinction) in Analysis Design and Management of Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA (Hons) in Economics and Computer Science from Queen's University, Canada. He previously worked as a Manager of Electronic Communications for a public institution and co-founded a company dealing in Online Healthcare Social Networks.
His research is broadly grounded in organisational theory, considering the emergent nature of organisational sensemaking. Looking at Innovation Studies, he is interested in questions of how 'product rumours' play into the innovation process. Whether in the form of strategic management of intellectual property, or building marketing 'buzz', this research looks at how embedded social networks across organisations help to form new products.
