Dorothea Ringe is Programme Manager at the Oxford Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She manages a portfolio of entrepreneurship courses and specialises in entrepreneurial skills training. She plans, develops and teaches on 'Building a Business', the main entrepreneurship course at Oxford University. Dorothea is also responsible for the Oxford Venture Club, a club for Oxford’s alumni entrepreneurs, and the Oxford at Saïd seminar series, which presents Oxford’s research in an accessible way.
Dorothea studied economics at the University of Heidelberg, the Humboldt University Berlin, the LSE and the University of Hamburg specialising in public economics and political economy. She holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and obtained a PhD in law and economics from the University of Hamburg with a full scholarship of the German Research Foundation. During her PhD, she has also spent time as a researcher at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Oxford.
