The University of Oxford offers support and training in business and entrepreneurship skills to University members and professionals outside of the University.
The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) centre, which is part of the University's Department for Continuing Education, works with academic colleagues to develop and deliver high level professional development for students and organisations in industry, commerce and the professions, in the UK and overseas, all available on a part-time basis.
Included in their portfolio is a management and business skills programme aimed at professionals in management, research and technical roles. These courses are particularly suited to people working in science, medicine, engineering, electronics, telecoms, information technology and other hi-tech fields. The programme offers four courses:
• Applying Knowledge Management: Principles and Practices
• Change Management for Engineers and Scientists
• Essentials of Project Management for Engineers and Scientists
• Advanced Project Management for Engineers and Scientists
