Overview
Lindsay Henshaw is a barrister who specialises in corporate and commercial law. She has lectured in corporate finance and business law to postgraduates at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. She has also lectured in international and UK environmental law to undergraduates and postgraduates. As the Institute’s Director of continuing professional development, she established its rôle as a provider of vocational training to the legal profession.
She has been a senior legal adviser to BP plc advising on worldwide corporate acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures; oil exploration projects, purchase and sale agreements, technical services and credit agreements; research and development and technical licensing agreements; financial instruments, and government policy and legislative initiatives. She has also advised government on international and UK pollution and marine law.
Lindsay has worked as an independent consultant to the College of Law in corporate and commercial law and to an EU government and a private sector consultancy in environmental law.
She read law at the University of Cambridge and is a member of Lincoln’s Inn.
