 Eric Anicich

During the MSc Management Research programme, Eric completed courses in Organizational Theory, Research Methods, and Strategic Management while simultaneously designing and implementing a research project for his MSc thesis.

Beyond the classroom, he had the opportunity to supplement his education with research and teaching assistantships – providing research assistance to professors in the Organizational Behavior department at the Saïd Business School and working as a teaching assistant for three Negotiations and Bargaining courses at London Business School.

After completing the MSc degree with Distinction in 2010, he returned to his undergraduate alma mater, Northwestern University, and has begun working as a full-time Research Assistant at the Kellogg School of Management under Professor Adam Galinsky.  Over the past year, he has spearheaded a number of research projects related to leadership, negotiations, decision-making, and the development of organizational values and culture.  These experiences have strongly influenced his own research interests in how individuals make sense of and participate in their social and organizational worlds.  In particular, Eric is interested in the underlying sources of tension between cooperation and competition, especially within the context of power and status hierarchies.  He plans to explore these interests in greater depth this fall when he enrolls in the PhD in Management programme at Columbia Business School.
